The Court of the Main Canal of Generalife is a part of the huge Alhambra complex in Granada, Spain.
Built between the 12th and 14th centuries as a palace for Muslim royalty, the Generalife was for recreational purposes.
This painting represents the palace on a freezing cold day with mists blanketing the hilltop fortress.
