Lake Como Steamer

One of the historic steamboats of Lake Como in northern Italy's Lombardy region waits at a wharf not far from an equally historic electric train station and the funicular to Brunate overlooking Como, the lake and Cernobbio on the opposite shore. On an unseasonably warm November afternoon, restaurant patrons sip coffee not far from this scene as the late afternoon sun lights the white-washed walls of waterfront buildings.
