Dunkeld Mount Sturgeon Grampians

Dai Wynn painted this view of the heritage Dunkeld Railway Station. Behind it and the Dunkeld township is Mount Sturgeon, part of the southern Grampians.
Keen arborists will have noticed that the eucalyptus tree in the foreground has coloured bark but no leaves. That’s because Dai quite liked his rendition of the sky. He also thought that the gnarled branches looked great in their naked state.
In fact, the actual tree is very much alive with lots of foliage.
