The village of Beynac et Cazenac lies above the River Dordogne in the Périgord region of France. These historic stone houses nestle beneath the mighty château fortress which stands proudly above sheer cliffs overlooking the river. This area of France is famous for the large number of castles, fortresses, cave houses, fortified houses, prehistoric dwellings and clifftop gardens all along the river Dordogne.
