Above Akaroa Harbour NZ
The view from Lighthouse Road down to the village of Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula, south east of Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand. The harbour, with its turquoise waters, sits in the caldera of an ancient volcano, surrounded by hills. Akaroa was once a French colony, and still bears the French heritage in street and place names. Oil painting by Dai Wynn on linen panel. 25.4 cm high by 35.6 cm wide by 0.3 cm deep approximately.
