Dai Wynn sketched the clifftop village of Rocamadour in south-central France. Dai stood in the modern hamlet looking over the green valley below to ancient Rocamadour on the opposite cliff. Its Grand Staircase leads to its complex of religious buildings. It includes the Notre-Dame Chapel with its Black Madonna statue. The Basilica of St-Sauveur is another famous building.
