Further downstream (west) one can just make out Le Pont de la Tournelle (La Tournelle Bridge) with its statue of Sainte Geneviève as an obelisk. Further downstream is the Île de la Cité (City Island) with the Cathédrale de Notre Dame (before the disastrous fire). Dai Wynn painted this view in oils on fine weave linen on board from a photo he took several years ago, standing on le Quai Henri IV. 30.5cm high by 40.6cm wide by 0.5cm deep.
